Event number used to relate changes in pavement structure with other time dependent data elements. This field is set to 1 when a test section is initially accepted into LTPP and is incremented with each change to the layer structure.

Numerical code for state or province. U.S. codes are consistent with Federal Information Processing Standards.
FIELD_SET

NUMBER(2)


Sequential number indicating the field sampling event. Assigned 1 for first sample event and incremented by 1 for subsequent events.
LOC_NO

VARCHAR2(6)


Unique code number assigned to each sampling location indicating the sample type. The single character prefix indicates the sample type. The numeric suffix is the unique project location for the sample type.
SAMPLE_NO

VARCHAR2(7)


Unique code number assigned to each material sample indicating the sample type and material type. The first character indicates the sample type. The second character indicates the material type. The numeric suffix is the unique sample number for the sample type and material type.
ACCEPT_CHECK

VARCHAR2(1)


Field which delineates whether a sample was an "acceptance" (A) or a "check" (C) sample.
SAMPLE_SIZE

Weight or volume of material shipped to the laboratory.
